Tim Wafer, representing The Water Solutions Group, steered the audience away from the standard culture testing route with his presentation titled “Delving Deeper: How PCR Testing Can Aid the Investigation of a Legionella Outbreak.” The exploration of alternative testing methods showcased the evolving landscape of Legionella control.
Matt Morse, LCA Manager, captivated the audience with his narrative on “Case Study from Design to Build, to Operation, to Disaster – Adventures in PFI.” His presentation traced the lifecycle of Legionella control, offering valuable lessons from the entire spectrum of project development.
Giles Green took the audience on a journey of “Outbreak Investigation for an Overseas Tour Operator: A Long Way Round to Find the Obvious.” His talk underscored the challenges and triumphs of unravelling Legionella outbreaks in unconventional settings, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive and flexible approach.
